We are looking for a confident, self-motivated, flexible team player to join our busy finance team and provide key support for the Head of Accounting and Supply Chain Director with financial management, control, and reporting for the Procurement and Manufacturing Division.
This role will be based at the Head Office in Clevedon, with an option for hybrid working, requiring at least 3 days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Undertaking the following aspects of the UKWWS accounting function:
1. Develop robust processes to enable production of timely and technically accurate financial information for the Procurement Cost Centre, including liaison with key stakeholders.
2. Develop systems and processes to analyze cost of goods, production costs, associated variances, and support management of these costs.
3. Provide support to management to ensure all costs are correctly recorded and monitored.
4. Manage contractual financial information such as supplier discounts, delivery timelines, etc.
5. Perform balance sheet reconciliations for all inventory accounts and support FCs with related reconciliations.
6. Conduct profitability analysis at product and product-line levels, inventory, and production variance analysis, along with ad hoc analyses.
7. Collaborate with production, supply chain, and procurement teams.
8. Set up and maintain standard costing models to reflect accurate costs.
9. Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.
10. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and support audit preparations.
11. Assist with other financial projects as needed.
Provide assistance to the Head of Accounting with other duties across the UK finance team, including holiday/absence cover.
About You
You should hold a recognized accountancy qualification and have relevant experience within an accounting department, demonstrating a proven ability to implement high standards of financial control and reporting.
- Experience using Microsoft Business Central
- Analytical skills and proficiency with financial systems and MS Excel spreadsheets
