Overview
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of patients with haematological malignancy on the Haematology Trials Unit. There will be an opportunity to develop research projects in clinical trials and translational science, and training will focus on the design, setting up and execution of clinical research.
Role and Responsibilities
* Develop advanced specialist experience in a specific disease site with a focus on advanced cellular and molecular therapies.
* Be responsible for the day-to-day management of patients having advanced medicinal therapies, including cellular, and complex advanced therapy combinations.
* Engage in training focusing on the design, establishment and execution of advanced therapy clinical trials, including grant applications and presentations/publications of research results.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential experience in either haematology or oncology, including satisfactory clinical specialty training to a senior level.
* Completed higher research degree (PhD/DPhil).
* Experience in the management of acute complications of advanced treatments.
* Training will focus on the design, establishment and execution of advanced therapy clinical trials.
* Note: The posts are not suitable for support of a higher degree and are focused on advanced clinical experience prior to appointment at Consultant/Clinical Professor/Senior Clinical Research Fellow level.
