The Role
Provide domestic service to patients, staff and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) premises through effective and efficient methods, delivering a safe and welcoming environment and meeting required NHSL and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. To work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.

What we’ll need you to bring
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
* Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and induction (4–6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked) to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
* Working knowledge of Health & Safety, including participation in risk assessing individual tasks.
* Willingness to undertake PaMOVA training level 1 and level 2 if identified following a risk assessment.
* Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training.
* Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
* Complete NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
It would be great if you also have
* Recognised SVQ or equivalent relevant qualification.
* Experience in a domestic services/cleaning environment.
* Knowledge of systems and processes such as HAI, Manual Handling, Management of Aggression, Infection Control, COSHH, Fire Safety.
* Experience with a range of electrical cleaning equipment.
* Flexibility and willingness to learn.
* Ability to work under pressure.

* 14.90 hours
Please note this is a part-time post and the salary will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in PSSD within Blantyre Health Centre.
The working pattern for this role –
* Monday-Thursday 16:30 until 20:00
* Friday 16:30 until 19:24
