An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Asset Manager to join a leading Defence Contractor within their Engineering & Assurance team. This role offers the chance to shape the future of asset management, drive innovation in digital tools, and influence long-term business direction.
You'll work across diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure optimal asset performance and compliance, while leading strategic initiatives that deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a company-wide Asset Management Strategy aligned with long-term goals.
Oversee lifecycle planning, risk management, and compliance to maximise asset value.
Lead the adoption of digital tools and data insights for capital planning and performance improvement.
Build trusted relationships across the organisation to influence asset priorities and drive continuous improvement.
About You
You'll bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership:
Proven experience in strategic asset management, lifecycle planning, and risk-based maintenance.
Familiarity with CAFM systems (ideally Maximo) and digital asset management trends.
Strong skills in capital investment planning and operational delivery.
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Institute of Asset Management, engineering, or technical discipline).
Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership.
Full UK driving licence and eligibility to meet security/residency requirements.

Working Arrangements
This role involves regular travel across UK sites, with a primary base on Salisbury Plain. Flexible working arrangements, including remote work on certain days, are available.
