Field-based – East Midlands/Yorkshire/Lincolnshire
Role Purpose
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth across a defined territory by developing strong relationships with trade customers, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting the full product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve and exceed agreed sales, margin, and growth targets
* Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities
* Support product launches and promotions
* Build long‑term relationships with trade customers
* Conduct regular customer visits and reviews
* Act as primary commercial contact
* Work with internal teams to deliver excellent service
New Business Development
* Identify and convert new trade accounts
* Expand Decora’s footprint in the territory
* Represent Decora at trade events
Product & Brand Representation
* Deliver product training and demonstrations
* Act as a brand ambassador
Market Insight & Reporting
* Maintain CRM and sales reports
Skills & Experience
* Ability to work autonomously and to travel throughout the territory.
* Ambitious, self‑motivated and target driven individual, eager to generate new business and sustain growth for the organisation.
* Experience of dealing with a large number of customers
* Full, clean current driving licence
* Highly customer focused with a proven ability to build and sustain effective long‑term customer relationships.
* Minimum of 3 years’ recent, relevant field experience of direct selling to trade customers.
* Must have experience of B2B, multiple product/multi brand sales
* Travel to our Head Office site in Northern Ireland and Birmingham to attend monthly sales meetings and support customer visits.
