We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bricklayer to join a local authority’s repairs and maintenance team based in Newcastle. This role involves working on both void and occupied domestic properties.
We’re looking for a Bricklayer experienced in repairs and maintenance on domestic properties. This is a stable, full-time role ideal for someone with social housing or council experience.
Duties Include:
Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units in line with technical drawings
Mix and apply mortar or other bonding agents to ensure level brickwork
Repair, restore, and maintain existing brickwork and stone structures
Measure, cut, and shape bricks or blocks to fit
Check alignment, levels, and quality of finished work
Construct or repair walls, partitions, chimneys and foundations
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure sociable, full-time hours Monday to Friday. The hourly pay rate for this role is £18.40 Ltd (PAYE equivalent £15.79 inclusive of holiday).
You will be working a standard 37-hour week, with potential for overtime. An immediate start is available.
You will need:
Proven experience in Bricklaying, ideally within social housing or council work
Your own basic hand tools and PPE
Full UK driving licence
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Bricklaying
