The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hygiene Manager to join a high‑performing retail packing facility in Wales during an exciting period of growth and expansion.
This is a key leadership opportunity for a Hygiene Manager to play a pivotal role within the Food Safety & Quality function. The successful Hygiene Manager will support ongoing business development while driving hygiene excellence, continuous improvement, and team capability across site operations.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead all site hygiene activities, ensuring standards are consistently met, maintained, and improved.
* Manage day‑to‑day hygiene operations across the site, ensuring full compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and relevant legislation.
* Lead, train, and develop the hygiene team, building capability, engagement, and a strong culture of accountability.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen hygiene systems and embed best practice across all areas of the operation.
* Take a leading role in audits, inspections, and customer visits, ensuring the site is fully prepared and represented to the highest standard.
* Work closely with the wider Technical team to deliver consistent standards and support strategic hygiene initiatives across the business.
* Contribute to the implementation of technical strategies aligned with customer expectations and business needs.
About You
To succeed as a Hygiene Manager, you will bring strong leadership capability, technical knowledge, and a hands‑on approach to hygiene management.
* Strong understanding of food safety principles and BRC standards.
* Previous experience in hygiene within a food manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a Hygiene Manager or similar role.
* Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
* Confidence using IT systems including Microsoft Office, ERP, and hygiene management systems.
* A proactive, hands‑on leadership style as a Hygiene Manager.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
