Senior Event Manager
Sodexo Live! invites you to join our team at the iconic ACC Liverpool to deliver world‑leading conferences and hospitality moments. This role offers a £30,000 per annum salary plus an excellent benefits package in a vibrant 40‑hour week.
Location: ACC Liverpool, Kings Dock, Liverpool, L3 4FP
Hours: 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday
What You'll Do
* Lead the planning, coordination and seamless delivery of events from concept to completion
* Uphold consistent operational standards aligned to client expectations and Sodexo Live! values
* Act as a senior figurehead within the operations team, setting the bar for service and hospitality excellence
* Manage a large and diverse team, ensuring they are briefed, prepared and empowered to succeed
* Build strong relationships with clients, working alongside Account Management to understand and exceed expectations
* Control operational costs and budgets, ensuring financial targets are met
* Ensure all event spaces are prepared, set and delivered to exceptional standards
* Conduct post‑event reviews to drive continuous improvement across operations
* Support recruitment, onboarding and development of junior managers, supervisors and casual team members
* Oversee performance reviews, succession planning and personal development plans
* Uphold legal and safety compliance, including food safety, allergens, COSHH, health and safety and venue policies
* Collaborate with all departments to share best practice and elevate the overall event experience
What You Bring
* Proven experience as an Events Manager or Senior Events Manager within large‑scale hospitality or conference environments
* A strong understanding of event logistics and high‑volume operations
* Outstanding communication and client relationship skills
* A passion for food, beverage and service excellence
* Experience managing large teams and motivating a diverse workforce
* Confidence in managing budgets and delivering financial targets
* Strong problem‑solving abilities and resilience in high‑pressure situations
* A commitment to delivering incredible guest experiences
* Personal Licence preferred
