JOB- Product Support Engineer
LOCATION- South Oxfordshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on relevant experience
My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on a Product Support Engineer with an Electronics / Mechatronics bias, on a permanent basis, in the South Oxfordshire area.
The Product Support Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* NVQ/ HNC/ HND/ BTEC/Degree qualified or similar in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
* Have some form of industry experience in a technical role after your studies too - previous experience working in a similar technical engineering, technical sales, technical support or manufacturing environment would be ideal
* Knowledge of inverters, motion controllers, or similar is needed – further training will be provided
* Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written; to work well over the phone
* Be able to work well individually as well as a team
* Be proficient with using MS Office applications
* CRM systems / SAP knowledge would be an advantage but isn’t essential
* A Full UK Driving Licence would be essential for attending customer sites so flexibility to travel occasionally is needed too
The Product Support Engineer role will involve:
* Providing technical support to customers with regards to company products
* You will be involved pre-sales on the application side of things
* And also after-sales with troubleshooting issues
* Providing timely technical assistance over the phone, email and in person
* Working with the company CRM system
* Working closely with different company departments to help with product improvements
* Always driving continuous improvement
* Delivering technical training sessions when required
