Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity delivering over 500 social and environmental projects each year, many of which support people to stay in education, gain new skills and secure employment.
We are seeking customer focused and target-driven Employment Advisors to assist our clients to overcome barriers and motivate them into sustainable employment or training opportunities. You will initially be working with older workers on DWP funded contracts.
You will hold IAG level 3 or above and have experience in delivering a structured IAG program, group sessions and supporting the delivery of training to adults. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with the wider team at Groundwork London and source work opportunities internally and externally.
Your responsibilities will include employer engagement and outreach work to identify eligible and suitable participants to access employment and training opportunities. You will be working with individuals with barriers to work. You will be undertaking assessments, designing and monitoring individual action plans and delivering support, including CV writing, interview skills, “Better off in work” calculations and applications for work, along with job-search techniques to prepare them to progress into sustainable employment.
A team player, you will offer excellent customer service and have the ability to organise and facilitate recruitment on behalf of employers and candidates. You will independently source and secure other employment opportunities with employers and actively broker clients into these roles.
