Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team while fostering a positive work atmosphere.
Duties
* Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
* Train, develop, and manage staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
* Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the establishment.
* Handle cash management processes, including cash handling and POS transactions (Aloha POS or Micros POS experience preferred).
* Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure timely food production and presentation.
* Assist in budgeting processes and financial reporting as needed.
* Conduct interviews for new hires and provide ongoing training for staff development.
Skills
* Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
* Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices.
* Familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations as well as fine dining experience is a plus.
* Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
* Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting principles.
* Experience in training & development of staff members to enhance their skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* A background in hospitality management or culinary experience is highly desirable.
