We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with additional needs in a primary school in Bacup. This is a challenging role that requires patience, consistency, and a firm but nurturing approach. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who display behavioural difficulties or additional learning needs.
About the Role:
* Working 1:1 with a KS2 pupil who requires tailored support to access learning
* Supporting emotional regulation, engagement in class activities, and positive behaviour
* Collaborating closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
* Using creative strategies to build trust and encourage progress both academically and socially
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience in a similar 1:1 or SEND support role (KS2 experience preferred)
* A calm, patient and adaptable nature
* A strong understanding of behavioural strategies and emotional regulation techniques
* The ability to build strong, consistent relationships
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
