About the Role
We currently have a vacancy for a Manager at Club 4 U in our out of school provision. This is a key role in which you will be managing a team of staff to provide quality out of school play opportunities for children aged from 4 - 11 years. You will be supported by and report to the Board of Directors at Club 4 U. This 25-hour Manager role and will require you to work Monday to Friday 3pm – 6pm in the after-school club at Westfield Junior School, and on rota for the breakfast club 7:50 – 9am with remaining hours are flexible for other duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and develop the wraparound care team to deliver high-quality childcare provision.
* Ensure all safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety policies are fully implemented and embedded in daily practice.
* Maintain robust systems for recording attendance, incidents, and staff training.
* Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
* Work in partnership with parents, carers, and school staff to support every child’s individual needs.
* Manage budgets, resources, and staffing schedules effectively to ensure smooth running of the provision.
About You
* Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare, education, or wraparound care setting.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and statutory requirements for out-of-school care.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
* Level 3 (or above) qualification in Childcare, Playwork, or equivalent.
* Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake).

Club 4 U
Club 4 U is a not-for-profit company established in 2006 to provide and/or assist in the provision of childcare and educational services for the benefit of the community out of school care services supporting both Eastfield and Westfield schools. Club 4 U is run as a separate business to the schools. Club 4 U’s other services include a Breakfast Club, After school club and Holiday Club. We also run a separate provision for Early Year - Playgroup. This is not covered by this position
