SEND Primary Teacher – Specialist School
Location – near Shaftesbury
Pay - £168–£232 per day
Contact times- Full-time (08:30–15:30)

Are you an experienced Primary Teacher who has worked with a variety of neurodiverse children? Do you have a QTS? Do you want to work within a specialist environment where children with Autism Thrive?
Supply Desk are seeking an SEND Primary Teacher to join a small specialist school in the Dorset area. The school is well respected within the area for supporting children who are diagnosed with Autism and enjoy therapeutic interventions, physical activities in addition to creative lessons that meet National Curriculum objectices. Children are between the ages of 11 and 19 when they attend this school, some obtaining year group objectives and some working towards lower key stage objectives.
The Role
Teach a small class of children with additional learning needs (approx. 8 pupils).
Deliver Maths, English, Phonics Primary lessons, alongside social, therapeutic and life skills.
Support pupils in achieving personalised SEMH and academic targets.
Full-time position, with the option of a permanent contract.
Job share (3–4 days per week) will be considered.
Candidate Profile
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required.
Previous experience in SEND (essential).
Strong knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
Confident in behaviour and classroom management.
Resilient, empathetic, and enthusiastic.
Experience in targeted interventions (preferred).
