Service Area: Asset Management
Hours of Work: 37 Per week
What You’ll be doing:
At KBS Maritime as Asset Through Life-Support Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting its transformation to meet future maritime capabilities. As an Asset Through Life Costing Analyst, you’ll evaluate the total cost of ownership across the lifecycle of estate and infrastructure assets, ensuring investment decisions deliver long-term value for defence operations. Your work will inform strategic planning, optimise resource allocation, and drive innovation through modern, data-led solutions aligned with ISO 55000 standards. By building trusted relationships across teams, you’ll also help shape sustainable and cost-effective approaches to asset management.
Day-to-day, you will develop and maintain through-life cost models, analyse capital and operational expenditure, and provide financial insights into business cases and estate masterplans. Collaborating with engineering, finance, and planning colleagues, you will support asset renewal and disposal programmes, contribute to sustainability and carbon reduction strategies, and ensure compliance with MOD financial governance. Using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and cost estimation software, you’ll manage accurate cost data, visualise performance trends, and present recommendations to senior leadership and programme boards, strengthening decision-making across the Naval Base.
You’ll Have:
Ideally, you’ll have proven experience within the construction, facilities, or asset management industry, whether at a strategic, operational, or tactical level. This background will enable you to contribute effectively to the development and implementation of strategies across the built environment and wider infrastructure. Your knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM) and asset data systems will be essential in ensuring accurate, reliable insights that support long-term planning and decision-making.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate a flexible and proportionate approach to governance, balancing control with agility in a fast-paced environment. By collaborating across client and engineering teams, applying effective delegation, and supporting audit processes, you’ll help maintain robust oversight while enabling innovation and delivery. This combination of technical expertise and collaborative leadership will ensure you can influence and support complex programmes with confidence.
About you:
You’ll bring proven expertise in cost analysis, asset management, or infrastructure finance, with a strong grasp of through-life costing principles and whole-life asset planning across both OPEX and CAPEX. Advanced Excel skills will be essential, alongside proficiency, or a willingness to develop proficiency, in data analytics platforms such as Power BI. Clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement will underpin your ability to influence decisions and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
Fundamentally, you’ll also have experience in defence, maritime, or secure estate environments, with familiarity in MOD infrastructure standards and frameworks such as ISO 55000. Knowledge of sustainability cost modelling (e.g., PAS 2080) and experience with cost estimation tools like CostX, PRISM, or Cleopatra will be advantageous. You’ll hold a relevant degree in Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Asset Management, or a related discipline, and may already possess or be working towards professional certification (CIMA, RICS, IAM). Eligibility for security clearance will be required to support your role in this environment.
You’ll get:

* Enhanced pension scheme
