25 April 2022
Hendon
£32,893 to £37,722 per annum
Fixed Term
Middlesex University will soon be implementing a new CRIS (Current Research Information System). We wish to appoint a Repository Manager on a one-year fixed term contract, as this CRIS is implemented and as we review our current repository systems.
As a member of the Research Support team in Library & Student Support, the post holder will manage and develop the University’s research repository (ePrints) and associated services, systems and support including the provision of training, guidance and advocacy for open access research outputs and research data. You will have experience in the use or management of research repository systems and experience in metadata, bibliographical data or of cataloguing.
You will have an interest in, and knowledge of, current issues associated with the management of research outputs in the higher education sector and be well organised and able to work within a small, supportive team.
We are committed to supporting the development and growth of staff and expect that this position will provide strong learning opportunities. We value diversity and strive to create a fairer, more equitable work environment for our staff and students. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff diversity networks, campus facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds. We are a member of Athena SWAN, the Race Equality Charter, Stonewall Workplace Equality Index and Disability Confident. We have made a positive commitment to employing disabled people and guarantee to interview all disabled candidates who meet the minimum essential criteria for the role as set out in the role profile.
Middlesex University has established a wholly owned subsidiary, MU Services Limited, to provide professional services to the University. Staff of MU Services Limited will work alongside Middlesex University staff and will be employed by MU Services Limited. All University policies and procedures and the University Professional Services Staff Handbook will apply to MU Services Limited staff during their employment, unless where expressly stated otherwise.
