Production Operative - Thame, Oxfordshire
A leading manufacturer in Thame, Oxfordshire is seeking 2 x Production Operatives to join their growing team on a permanent basis due to company expansion.
Working hours: 6am – 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 5 hours on Friday (6am – 11am), with a salary of £23,000.
Alternative shift: A later shift from 2.30pm – 11pm is also available, offering a salary of £26,000.
Training: Full training will be provided. You will work in various areas including component manufacturing, product assembly, wiring, and testing to meet delivery requirements.
* Carry out component manufacturing and product assembly according to build instructions, drawings, BOMs, or related documents.
* Ensure all activities meet quality standards and applicable regulations.
* Set up manufacturing equipment (including EHRT, plating line, power presses) and production areas for efficient operation.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following safe working practices at all times.
* Store components and products tidily and ensure correct identification.
* Maintain accurate production and product records.
* Coordinate with Team Leaders to keep stock levels updated.
* Ensure equipment runs efficiently, maximizing material, resource, and time use.
* Maintain machinery as per TPM programs and report any maintenance issues.
* Participate in team working and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Suggest improvements to enhance safety and efficiency in production areas.
* Identify manufacturing problems and collaborate with the Production Manager to resolve them.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in production, assembly, wiring, or machinery, or a strong work history seeking a new challenge or career change. You should be able to multitask, work from drawings, troubleshoot, and identify root causes with solutions.
