SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant - Autism

Career Teachers has partnered with an SEND School in Leicester to recruit a motivated and experienced SEN teaching assistant. The role involves working 1:1 with students and begins as soon as possible.
This well-resourced school supports students with complex needs and fosters an excellent staff culture where everyone feels valued. Your responsibilities will include:
* Acting as a positive role model and managing behaviour
* Ensuring a safe, child-centred learning environment
* Promoting inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
* Understanding and assisting with IEPs & Behaviour Support Plans under the guidance of the teacher
* Supporting lesson planning, monitoring, and delivery of creative lessons
Key skills and experience needed:
* Essential SEN experience, preferably with students with Autism
* Previous support work in a school or related child-focused role
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Professional manner
* Enthusiastic, positive, and friendly approach
* Team Teach training (not necessary but advantageous)
