Job Title: Field Service Technician
Department: Maryland Service Department
Location: Salisbury, Maryland
Reports To: Service Manager
Job Overview
The Field Service Technician is a highly self-motivated professional with a minimum of two years’ experience in mechanical equipment service (e.g., air compressors, pumps). This role requires providing service on a 24/7 basis, with some overnight stays and mandatory training that may require out-of-town travel for up to one week.

* Can toggle between projects and responsibilities with ease
* Has mechanical and electrical experience with pumps and air compressors, including troubleshooting skills
* Has basic computer skills and familiarity with wireless communication devices
* Can lift 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. with assistance
* Can read and interpret diagrams and schematics
* Can operate test and measuring equipment
* Has pump and air compressor field service experience
* Holds a High School diploma or GED
* Must pass background checks, reference checks, and drug testing
Scope of Responsibility
* Perform expert field service and repairs on pumps and air compressors independently
* Follow OSHA safety requirements at all times
* Conduct start-up, commissioning, and training for new and repaired equipment
* Complete service documentation accurately and utilize electronic devices (e.g., wireless tablets)
* Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
* Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including the shop, work area, and service vehicle
* Represent Cummins-Wagner professionally and courteously
* Be available for on-call duties and travel for out-of-town jobs
* Assist in training new technicians
* Perform other duties as assigned
