Finance Director UK & IRE
Our client is a leading international retail company known for its dynamic store presence and strong brand identity across the beauty and fashion sectors.
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Director to join our leadership team within the retail sector. This individual will serve as a key business partner to the Country Director and senior leadership, delivering financial insights and guidance to support performance, growth, and compliance. The Finance Director will ensure timely, accurate reporting and will be the key point of contact for the Head Office Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Country Director and CFO on strategic planning and execution, offering updates and alternative solutions as needed.
* Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies.
* Support business operations through robust cost analysis and ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
* Oversee accounting, taxation, and treasury functions within the country.
* Manage fiscal reporting activities including revenue, expenditure, and budget monitoring.
* Partner with the retail team to provide financial controls, reporting, and advice to drive commercial performance.
* Prepare and monitor budgets and quarterly forecasts, highlighting deviations from actuals.
* Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reporting packages to the global headquarters.
* Review and approve all month-end financial and tax performance reports.
* Present financial results to the Country Director, CFO, and senior leadership team.
* Monitor and mitigate financial risks and support investment decisions.
* Manage banking operations and cash flow to ensure liquidity and stability.
* Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, legal, and tax advisors, as well as with the parent company’s finance team.

Required Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
* ACCA (or equivalent) qualification required.
* Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within the retail sector.
* Proficient in financial systems and reporting; SAP experience is an advantage.
* Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align financial priorities to wider business objectives.
