Talent-UK are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist for a well-established engineering business in the Wakefield area, working regular days with a 1pm finish on Friday. This is offered on a permanent basis with ongoing training and development. The purpose of this role is to successfully run CNC /Manual machines within a heavy engineering environment. Main duties of the CNC Machinist: Ensure machining operations and processes are effectively carried out by the approved manufacturing route and quality standards. Actively pursue continuous improvements in assembly methods and techniques and make recommendations for implementation when required. Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained and regularly checked for lubrication. Take care of measuring equipment and report on any defective, or out-of-calibration items. Ensure all lifting and transportation equipment is used correctly. Skills and experience of the CNC Machinist: Apprentice trained mechanical engineer Ability to use manual measuring equipment Good understanding of engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances Knowledge of CNC programming Experience of working with a horizontal machining centre and Fanuc controls Experience of working with Heidenhain controls What is on offer to the CNC Machinist: Hourly rate upto £18.00 per hours DOE Hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday & 8am-1pm Friday 33 days Holiday (including Bank Holidays) Additional Birthday Holiday Life Assurance x 4 annual salary Free parking If this CNC Machinist role is of interest to you, please "click apply" and submit your CV.
