The primary purpose of this role is to ensure effective management of fundraising activities. It involves developing and implementing clear, effective fundraising strategies that are benchmarked against best practices.
Main duties of the job
Extensive collaboration with senior staff across the Health Board and various community stakeholders—including businesses, influential individuals, leaders, charities, and fundraising groups—is essential to secure fundraising within the organization.
The role also includes line management responsibilities for two staff members.

Job responsibilities
The main duties include:
1. Holding a high-profile role within the Health Board to lead fundraising effectively.
2. Adopting an entrepreneurial approach, developing innovative solutions, and applying skills from marketing, sales, and communications.
3. Attending the Health Board’s Charitable Funds Committee, a formal subcommittee of the Board, and being accountable to Independent Members and Executive Directors.
4. Leading the development, implementation, management, and reporting of a dynamic, rolling fundraising strategy, covering both long-term (5-10 years) and short-term objectives, with planning and budgeting aligned to approved income and expenditure levels.
