Developing system design documentation
1. Maturing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) in collaboration with other Combat System and Platform System teams
2. Supporting procurement activities, including sub-contractor design reviews
3. Providing support to platform integration teams
4. Supporting the development of cost estimates for the activities and resources required to deliver the programme
5. Reviewing Combat System, Platform and Supplier documentation
6. Tracking and resolving technical issues as they arise
Knowledge of the complete engineering lifecycle and system engineering best practice with experience within a number of key lifecycle phases including requirements, system design, system integration and acceptance
STEM related degree and relevant engineering experience within the aerospace, defence or maritime sectors
Strong awareness of product safety and product security
Experience using requirements and/or configuration management tools
Desirable:
* An understanding of underwater acoustics and/or the ocean environment
* Knowledge/experience of network communications and architectures, including Ethernet, and the Internet Protocol (IP) suite
* Knowledge/experience of system modelling using sysML and/or UML
