Location: Hybrid / field-based – travel to client sites and office as required
Hours: 37.5 (Monday to Friday)
Start your career in energy and carbon reduction
Interested in how buildings use energy? Curious about how things work on site, from heating systems to industrial processes? This is an opportunity to build a career in energy auditing, working hands‑on across a wide range of client sites while developing the technical and analytical skills needed to become a Site Energy & Carbon Auditor.
At Consultus International, we don’t just talk about carbon reduction – we deliver it. Since 1994, we’ve helped organisations plan and achieve their net‑zero goals in a practical, measurable way.
Working as part of our Ennovus Solutions team, you’ll gain exposure to real‑world projects spanning audits, energy efficiency, and low‑carbon technologies.
What you’ll be doing
This is a structured entry role where you’ll learn by doing, supported by experienced auditors.
* Support and gradually lead energy audits across offices, hotels, industrial, and manufacturing sites
* Learn how to assess building systems and processes to understand energy use
* Work with energy data in Excel to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities
* Contribute to clear, professional audit reports and recommendations
* Support compliance work including ESOS and Net Zero Pathway projects
* Engage with clients and site teams to gather information and understand operations
* Travel across the UK (with occasional overnight stays) as part of site‑based work
Who this could suit
We’re open to different backgrounds, but you’ll need a genuine interest in energy, systems, and how things work in practice.
* A graduate in sustainability, engineering, energy, or a related subject
* Someone with hands‑on experience, for example in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical roles
* Early in your career and looking to move into energy or carbon‑focused work
What you’ll bring
* Basic Excel skills and confidence working with data
* A technical or analytical mindset, with curiosity about energy systems
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
* A proactive, self‑motivated approach
* Confidence to work independently on site (with support as you develop)
Essential requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel across the UK and stay overnight when needed
What success looks like
You’re building strong foundations in both the technical and analytical side of the role. You’re contributing to audits, producing clear and structured work, and growing in confidence on client sites. Over time, you develop into a fully independent Site Energy & Carbon Auditor, trusted to deliver high‑quality audits and recommendations.
Why join us
* A genuine development pathway into a specialist energy role
* Exposure to a wide variety of sites and technologies
* Hands‑on learning with real client impact from day one
* A flexible, hybrid working environment
* A supportive and collaborative team who will invest in your growth
