Job Description
* Assist solicitors with preparation and management of commercial property transactions such as sales, purchases, leases, and transfers.
* Conduct property searches, title investigations, and prepare due diligence reports.
* Draft and review legal documents, including missives, leases, licences, and completion statements.
* Liaise with clients, landlords, tenants, surveyors, and other third parties to gather and exchange relevant information.
* Manage transaction files and maintain accurate records in compliance with firm policies.
* Assist in the resolution of issues arising during the conveyancing process.
* Support the legal team with general administrative and project-related tasks.
The Successful Applicant
* Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant within commercial property law, ideally in Scotland.
* Good understanding of Scottish commercial property legislation and conveyancing procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Relevant legal qualifications or paralegal certification preferred.
