KS2 Teacher Job Type: Full-timeLocation: GloucesterSalary: Competitive Reed is working in partnership with a local school to recruit a dedicated KS2 Teacher. This role involves working alongside teaching colleagues under the direction of the KS2 Lead and Head Teacher. The successful candidate will act as a lead mentor and coach, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and achievement for all pupils. Day-to-day of the role: Promote and support the ethos of the school by attending and contributing to assemblies and events throughout the year. Achieve the general and particular aims of the school, as expressed in the School Mission Statement and the School Improvement Plan. Plan effectively to ensure all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, meet their potential. Assess, record, and monitor each pupil's progress according to the National Framework profile and report to parents. Use engaging teaching strategies to maintain high levels of pupil engagement and learning. Create a safe and stimulating learning environment where pupils feel secure and confident. Set high expectations for pupil behaviour, maintaining good discipline based on mutual respect and personal responsibility. Stay updated with the professional duties of teachers and the statutory framework, as well as the KS2 National Curriculum and assessment framework. Required Skills & Qualifications: Must hold QTS/PGCE in Primary Education and a relevant degree. Experience teaching KS2 and supporting students with SEND.
