The post is 29.6 hours worked over 4 days and is offered on a fixed term basis for one year.
Responsibilities
* Provide Nursery Nurse support on child development and respond to individual and family needs in a variety of settings.
* Meet the physical, social and developmental health needs of children and their families as identified by individual family health plans.
* Work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
* Demonstrate sound knowledge of child development and maintain a good level of literacy and numeracy.
* Utilise IT skills (email, basic word processing, ability to search the internet and intranet).
* Maintain a good level of physical health and stamina, including large and fine motor fitness and dexterity.
* Hold or work towards relevant qualifications: SVQ3 in Health & Social Care, NNEB or HNC in Childcare, with a minimum of 2 years experience in a childcare setting.
* Have knowledge of GIRFEC.
* Be able to work with children and undertake further formal study if required.
* Car driver is essential for this post and car ownership is advantageous.
