Robert Half Accountancy and Finance is recruiting for Assistant Accountant to join a market leading business based in west Leeds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure internal controls and procedures are followed to maintain accurate accounting records.
* Manage overhead activities, including accruals, expenses, reviewing invoices, and day-to-day accounting tasks.
* Carry out month-end balance sheet reviews, investigate discrepancies, and escalate issues where necessary.
* Extract, manipulate, and analyse data using Excel, leveraging your analytical skills to deliver insights and solutions.
What We're Looking For:
* Accounting qualifications such as AAT or ACCA - either qualified or actively studying (essential)
* Previous Assistant Accountant experience
* Strong analytical skills with strong Excel skills
* A confidence-driven, self-starting approach
* Detail-oriented focus, with excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
