Location: Barnsley, S75
Salary: £46,000 per annum
Potential Earnings: Up to £52,000 through bonuses
Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our 2-bed children's residential home in Barnsley (S75), supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an exciting opportunity to take the reins of a well-established home with a current 'Good' Ofsted rating and drive it towards 'Outstanding' through strong leadership, high standards, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you\'ll take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality, and compliance of the home, ensuring it provides a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for young people.
You\'ll manage and develop a dedicated team, promote a culture of professionalism and empathy, and work closely with external partners to achieve positive outcomes for each child in your care.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day running of the 2-bed EBD home in line with Ofsted standards and company policies.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare and well-being of all children and young people.
* Lead, motivate, and support a small, skilled team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care.
* Maintain and build upon the home\'s 'Good' Ofsted rating, striving for continuous improvement.
* Build strong working relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals.
* Ensure effective care planning, documentation, and quality assurance systems.
* Oversee rota management, budgets, and on-call responsibilities.
* Promote a positive and empowering environment for both staff and young people.
About You
* Minimum of 2 years\' experience in a supervisory or management role within a children\'s residential care setting.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection procedures.
* Experience supporting young people with EBD and complex needs.
* Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a small team effectively.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
