An established and growing medical communications agency is looking for an experienced Principal / Senior Medical Writer to join their scientific team.
This is a great opportunity for a confident writer who enjoys working across multiple therapy areas, partnering closely with clients, and helping shape high-quality scientific communications. You’ll take a leading role on projects, mentor junior writers, and contribute to strategic discussions across accounts.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading the development of high-quality scientific and medical communications materials
* Translating complex clinical and scientific data into clear, engaging content for healthcare audiences
* Acting as a key scientific contact for clients and external experts
* Reviewing and quality-checking work from colleagues and freelancers
* Mentoring and supporting the development of junior writers
* Contributing to account strategy, project planning, and timelines
* Participating in client meetings and scientific discussions
What they’re looking for
* Experience in medical writing within a medical communications / healthcare communications agency
* Strong scientific writing and data interpretation skills
* Experience developing a range of medical communications deliverables
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
* Good understanding of pharma compliance and publication standards
Background
* Degree in a life sciences discipline (PhD or MSc preferred)
* Experience working in a medcomms agency and within publications
* Confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with clients and internal teams
