A well-established independent garage in Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced Senior Automotive Technician - Workshop Lead to take a hands-on leadership role in their busy, modern workshop.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on complex diagnostics and repairs while supporting and mentoring a team of junior technicians and apprentices. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of workmanship, safety, and efficiency across the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead complex diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of vehicles.
* Mentor and develop junior technicians and apprentices.
* Oversee daily workshop operations, including workflow and productivity.
* Support the business in building a high-performing, professional team.
* Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA standards.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
* MOT Tester qualification.
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in vehicle mechanics, including diagnostics.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Previous experience supervising or mentoring is advantageous.
* Professional, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
