Learning Support Assistant – Birmingham
Elevate Supply is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Birmingham to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with additional needs in a setting that values compassion, structure, and individual progress.
Position Overview
Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Birmingham
Day Rate: £90 – £100
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
* Adapt learning activities and resources to suit individual requirements
* Support students both in the classroom and during structured activities outside of lessons
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team to deliver personalised support
* Contribute to a calm, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
* A background in education, care, youth work, or psychology is desirable
* Calm, empathetic, and resilient, with strong behaviour management skills
* Committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
