Sheridan Maine is working with a well-established business in Poole to recruit an experienced Finance Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who is confident working at both an operational and strategic level. The role will suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with day-to-day accounting but also wants to contribute to the wider direction of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of financial statements, management reports and records in line with statutory requirements
2. Production of the monthly management accounts pack, including insightful commentary on business performance
3. Oversight of payroll, ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time
4. Daily use of NetSuite to manage reporting and financial processes
5. Management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring cash flow is well maintained
6. Carrying out analysis to support commercial decision-making
7. Leading on budgeting and forecasting, monitoring variances against plan
8. Supporting and mentoring junior finance colleagues to aid their development
9. Ensuring compliance with tax obligations and assisting with external audit processes
10. Partnering across the business to provide financial insight and promote operational efficiency
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
11. Proven background as a Finance Manager (or in a similar finance leadership role)
12. Strong, hands-on experience using NetSuite (essential)
13. Solid understanding of financial management and accounting principles
14. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
15. Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities
16. Previous experience coaching or developing junior team members would be a plus
