Make a Difference Where it Matters Most

Are you looking for a role where care, dignity, and learning aren't just buzzwords, but the foundation of everything you do?

We are seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant to join our specialist 2-19 academy in Littleport. This is more than just a support role; it is an opportunity to provide a lifeline of safety and confidence to pupils with complex needs, ensuring they are empowered to engage fully in school life.

The Role

Working within a collaborative and inclusive community, you will provide the essential "wrap-around" support that allows our students to thrive. You will work closely with teachers and healthcare specialists to deliver tailored care that respects the individuality of every child.

Key Responsibilities:

* Personalized Care: Provide thoughtful assistance with personal care, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility, following specific EHCPs and Care Plans.
* Medical & Physical Support: Help implement specialist programmes such as physiotherapy or hydrotherapy under professional guidance.
* Safety & Wellbeing: Supervise and support pupils during lunchtimes and outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
* Collaboration: Maintain accurate records and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

About You

This role requires a unique blend of warmth, resilience, and professional integrity. You don't need to be an expert in everything on day one, but you must have:

* A deep commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of young people.
* An inclusive mindset and the ability to treat every student with the utmost dignity.
* A proactive, "hands-on" approach to practical tasks and medical support.
* Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a close-knit staff team.

Why Join Us?

* The Perfect Balance: A consistent 10:15am - 2:15pm schedule that fits perfectly around other commitments.
* Meaningful Work: See the tangible impact of your support on a daily basis.
* A Supportive Community: Join a team where staff are valued, and professional development is encouraged.

Ready to start a truly rewarding career journey? Apply today to become a vital part of our students' success.
