Job Responsibilities * Perform complex diagnostic and repair work on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within our fleet (e.g., buses, trains) and associated infrastructure. * Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support on intricate issues. * Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize asset longevity. * Conduct thorough inspections and testing of equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. * Analyze technical data and fault reports to identify root causes of failures and propose effective solutions. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, safety, and procurement, to enhance overall system performance. * Contribute to the design and implementation of engineering modifications and upgrades. * Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. * Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and procedures. Job Qualifications * A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related field) or equivalent vocational qualifications with extensive relevant experience. * Demonstrable experience (typically 5 years) in a hands-on engineering role, preferably within the transport, heavy machinery, or similar industrial sectors. * Proven expertise in diagnosing and rectifying complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults. * Strong understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices. * Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively. * Commitment to continuous professional development.
