The Role As a member of the Operations Team, the Production Engineer will play a fundamental role in supporting operational current and future process requirements for Manufacturing and Engineering Operations. The successful candidate will have regular interactions with various internal functions as well as external customers and suppliers, therefore, they must be approachable, dynamic and collaborative. The accountabilities of the role include: Understanding of the electronic manufacturing process Equipment specification Review and approve PCB layouts for manufacture Approve components for assembly compatibility Solder Stencils Design Define solder reflow profiles for product Define material conversions (Pb-free to Pb) required to meet customer requirements to manufacture with a Pb solder process Design manufacturing tooling Material compliance (RoHS and REACH) Monthly Manufacturing DPM reporting Material selection and approval: solder paste, wash chemistry, conformal coating, etc Support sub-contract manufacture.
