Salary: £45,775 – £47,871 per annum

About the Role
You will be a key part of the Safeguarding Team, delivering high-quality, relationship-based social work for children and families where risk has been identified. This team works across:

Child Protection
*
Child in Need
*
Care proceedings where necessary
You will:
*
Carry a caseload and lead on complex interventions
*
Regularly visit families and work closely with multi-agency partners
*
Support children to remain safely at home whenever possible
*
Create clear, effective plans that reduce risk and build resilience
*
Mentor and support less experienced colleagues within the team
*
Contribute to a service built on relational, solution-focused practice
*

What You’ll Need to Apply
*
Social Work England registration
*
A recognised qualification in Social Work
*
Completion of your ASYE
*
Experience in child protection and statutory safeguarding settings
*
The ability to assess risk and lead care planning confidently
*
Strong relationship-building, communication, and analytical skills
*
A positive, reflective approach with commitment to best outcomes
*
Experience supporting colleagues or mentoring is desirable
