40 Hours per WeekICP Connections | DNO | 11kV 132kV | Solar & BESS ProjectsPowering the UKs Energy Future Were recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure client for an experienced Power Estimator to join their growing energy and utilities division.This is a key role within the business, responsible for producing accurate, commercially sound estimates for high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects across 11kV to 132kV networks, including renewable energy and battery storage schemes .If you have experience working on ICP connections, DNO interface works, or large-scale grid infrastructure, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career within a fast-growing and future-focused sector.The Role As Power Estimator, you will play a critical part in the pre-construction and tendering process, producing detailed cost estimates and supporting the successful bidding of complex electrical infrastructure projects.You will be working across a variety of schemes including:Solar PV connectionsBattery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)High Voltage (HV) & Extra High Voltage (EHV) network worksICP contestable works and DNO interface projectsKey Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates for 11kV132kV electrical infrastructure projectsInterpret technical drawings, single line diagrams, and grid connection designsProduce pricing for ICP contestable works and DNO non-contestable elementsAssess labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor costsLiaise with engineers, project managers, and commercial teams to develop tender submissionsReview and assess grid connection requirements and technical specificationsWork with supply chain partners to obtain accurate and competitive pricingIdentify risks, constraints, and opportunities within tender documentationSupport bid strategy and commercial decision-makingAbout You We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of power distribution and estimating within the utilities sector.You will ideally have:Experience estimating HV/EHV electrical infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of ICP and DNO processesExperience within solar, BESS, or renewable energy connectionsKnowledge of 11kV132kV network design and installationStrong commercial awareness and attention to detailAbility to interpret technical drawings and grid connection documentsExperience working within utilities, power, or electrical infrastructure sectorsDesirable Experience Previous work with ICPs, DNOs, or electrical contractorsExperience in bid preparation or tendering environmentsUnderstanding of National Grid connection processesFamiliarity with civils associated with electrical infrastructure projectsWhats on Offer Competitive salary depending on experienceLong-term career progression within a growing energy divisionOpportunity to work on major UK renewable and grid infrastructure projectsSupportive and technically strong team environmentExposure to cutting-edge solar and battery storage schemesApply Today If you're an experienced Power Estimator looking to work on high-value, technically challenging energy projects, we want to hear from you.Apply now for immediate consideration.We endeavour to reply to every candidate, every time but if you havent heard back within 10 days, please understand that you have unfortunately been unsuccessful for this position, or the position has been filled.TPBN1_UKTJ
