The Opportunity
To support the PDP Kit Supervisor in delivering high-quality kit and equipment services for the Academy. The role will involve travelling with U16–U18 squads domestically and internationally, ensuring players and staff have the necessary kit and equipment prepared, transported, and presented to professional standards allowing for optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver day-to-day kit operations for the Academy squads, with a strong focus on the full-time U14–U18 squads, ensuring kit and equipment is prepared, issued, and returned correctly, including school uniform, daytime and evening training kit and matchdays.
* Travel with U16–U18 squads to domestic and international fixtures, managing kit logistics throughout.
* Assist with dressing room set-up, kit distribution, and recovery on matchdays.
* On a day to day basis, ensure that all Academy squad and staff kits are prepared and that they have everything they require for training and matches for optimal performance. This requires continual communication with the coaches and staff about their needs for each day.
* Ensure that players are leaving their dressing rooms tidy at the end of each day and liaising with Head Coaches where necessary to prompt the players.
* Assist the Kit Supervisor with the arrival and preparation of the bulk new season kit delivery in pre-season and ensure all staff and players are allocated their correct kit in a timely fashion.
* Work closely with the PDP Kit Supervisor to maintain consistent standards across all age groups.
* Accurately log and update kit and equipment allocations, returns, and inventories in Teamworks/Nike GameDay.
* Support the management of the kit room, ensuring safe and efficient storage and organisation.
* Assist with audits and stock checks, flagging any shortages or compliance issues.
* Provide operational support on Academy tours, tournaments, and training camps as required.
* Ensure compliance with Academy operational policies and Premier League requirements.
* Act as a professional role model for players, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
What you will bring to the role
* Proven experience in elite sport kit management (football preferable).
* High attention to detail and excellent organisational ability.
* Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Experience with kit/equipment technology platforms (Teamworks, GameDay).
* Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters appropriately.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with players, parents, and staff.
* Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to travel extensively.
* Full UK driving licence and ability to drive a kit van.
