Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team. In this role, you will assist our Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, contributing to menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
Contribute to a positive team environment and promote a passion for cooking.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
A passion for using local ingredients and promoting sustainability.
Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable.
