We're looking for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our friendly team in one of our Newark homes. This is a rewarding role where your skills will help us create and maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.

What you'll be doing:
· Carrying out day-to-day repairs, decoration, and maintenance work across the home.
· Supporting larger projects as part of the wider maintenance team.
· Conducting regular safety checks and ensuring potential hazards are identified and resolved quickly.
· Liaising with and supporting external contractors.
· Helping with deliveries and ensuring equipment and materials are stored safely.
· Looking after the gardens and outdoor spaces to keep them tidy and inviting.
What we're looking for:
· Skilled in basic maintenance tasks (Plumbing, Electrics, Carpentry, Painting & Decorating).
· Able to work independently and as part of a team.
· A problem-solver with good communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
· A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (Essential).
· Knowledge of care home systems (e.g. Fire panels, Nurse Call systems) would be a bonus, but not essential.
Experience:
· At least 1 year of general maintenance experience preferred (Training provided for the right person).
· Previous experience in a healthcare setting or trade background is advantageous but not essential.
