Priory Suttons Manor is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is a full time/37.5 role.
Priory Hospital Suttons Manor is set in Stapleford Tawney, a village and civil parish in the Epping Forest district, near the town of Romford. The hospital is set in its own attractive grounds of over nine acres, which supports an amazing horticulture programme and grants access to an idyllic countryside landscape, which, by its very nature, promotes wellbeing.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Assess clients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs to develop personalized intervention plans that promote independence and daily living skills.
* Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including adaptive techniques, assistive technology, and therapeutic activities.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to support holistic care and rehabilitation goals.
* Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Maintain accurate clinical records, complete risk assessments, and comply with professional and organizational standards.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with a degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience working with diverse client groups, including those with physical, mental health, or developmental needs, is essential. Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Previous experience in a clinical or community setting is preferred.
