Design Engineer responsibilities include –
* Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) by designing and developing tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
* Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and production documentation, ensuring ERP data accuracy.
* Support feasibility reviews, manufacturability analyses, and technical assessments.
* Provide engineering support to production, resolving tooling, process, and material issues.
* rive improvement through lean initiatives, tooling upgrades, and design standardisation.
* Support root cause analysis, process validation, and integration of engineering changes.
Design Engineer desirable skills and experience –
* Experience within a similar role - NPI Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer etc.
* Strong experience using 3D software packages such as Catia, or Solidworks.
* Proven background in design or manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
* Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals / modern manufacturing methods.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadline.
