CNC Turner - Setter / Operator (Stockton-on-Tees)
Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and production documentation.
- Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve optimum machining performance.
- Use measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances and specifications.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Work closely with colleagues to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Accurately record production data and manufacturing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner Setter / Operator within a precision engineering environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Experience with grinding, milling, and tooling operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is beneficial.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
Remuneration and Benefits
£35,000 – £40,000 base salary (DOE). Performance‑related bonus structure.
Work schedule: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm.
