About the Role
Electrical Technician (Saffron Walden with regional travel)
You will be responsible for daily electrical maintenance and testing on the Pipeline System, working safely and systematically to ensure all facilities, plant, and equipment operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with technical colleagues to resolve defects, implement changes in plant operation, and respond to maintenance alerts.
* Update and maintain the computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
* Perform regular maintenance of LV distribution, small power and lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm testing, and electrical inspections in accordance with BS 7671 and BS 60079, including hazardous area electrical testing.
About You
With 5 C Grade GCSEs or equivalent, you understand safety management processes such as Permit to Work, Safety Critical Tasks, and Risk Assessments. You should have CompEx, 2394, 2395, 17th Edition IEE Regulations, and BS7671 qualifications. Flexibility for overtime and out-of-hours breakdowns is required. A clean driving license is essential.
