Secondary English Teacher / Secondary Maths Teacher

Protocol Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools seeking to appoint qualified and committed English and Maths Teachers.
These are key curriculum roles within well-established departments, offering the opportunity to contribute to strong subject outcomes and student progress across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential involvement at Key Stage 5 where applicable.
The successful candidates will join supportive leadership teams and departments focused on high standards, consistency, and inclusive practice.
English Teacher – Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations
* Monitor progress and implement targeted intervention strategies
* Contribute to curriculum development within the English department
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
* Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and wider school activities
Maths Teacher – Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Prepare students for GCSE Mathematics examinations
* Identify gaps in learning and provide structured intervention support
* Support departmental curriculum planning and assessment
* Maintain strong behaviour management and classroom routines
* Engage in CPD and contribute to whole-school initiatives
Person Specification
We are seeking teachers who:
* Hold UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Have experience teaching English or Maths at secondary level
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
* Can motivate and challenge students of varying abilities
* Maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour
* Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
