Independence Support ISL provides bespoke support to adults with diverse needs, including mental health issues, learning disabilities, autism/Asperger's, acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and support for older individuals. Our services are designed to help individuals achieve their goals through supported housing, employment/vocational assistance, home help, community involvement, short-term support, and developing unique housing and support options with partners.
Role
We are recruiting support workers to join the team in our supported living service in Kendal.
We support individuals with varied needs relating to Learning Disability & Physical Disability including multiple complex needs. The role will include working with people who may present challenges. The role will involve supporting people with personal care.
We are looking for flexible, reliable and committed people to join our team in providing outcome focused support, enabling people to live as independently as possible in their own home building skills, independence and vocation.
We are looking for staff to cover a variety of hours and shift patterns including days and nights.
All staff will be required to work flexibly across a 7 day rota in order to meet the needs of the people we support.
Full induction training will be provided however some experience of working in a similar setting is desirable as the circumstances of the people being supported may be complex.
All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
