As a Logistics Simulation Coordinator, you will work closely with plant logistics teams to understand their needs and assess the demand for simulation, ensuring that their priorities are effectively coordinated with our central discrete event simulation team. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to seamlessly integrating simulation models into our existing processes. WHAT TO EXPECT You will play a pivotal part in shaping our logistics processes by developing and managing simulation models. Here is what to expect: • Develop Simulation Models: Create and manage simulation models for intralogistics processes to support decision-making. Use these models to analyse different scenarios and optimise logistics operations • Assess Simulation Demand: Evaluate the demand for simulation from plant logistics teams. Gather requirements, assess priorities, and ensure that the most critical needs are addressed • Coordinate with Simulation Team: Work closely with the central discrete event simulation team to prioritise and coordinate simulation work. Ensure alignment and integration of simulation models with overall logistics strategies • Analyse Demand Patterns: Evaluate demand patterns and optimise resource allocation to enhance logistics operations. Develop strategies to balance supply and demand, minimise bottlenecks, and improve efficiency • Collaborate with Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams, including logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain, to integrate simulation models into existing processes. Ensure that simulation insights are used to drive decision-making and process improvements • Provide Training and Support: Train logistics personnel on the use of simulation tools and methodologies.
