About the role:
As a Production Administrator, you would play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the manufacturing process, serving as a link between various departments to ensure that production schedules are met efficiently and effectively.
This position involves coordinating with team members across the company, from the workshop floor to upper management to facilitate communication and streamline workflow.
The job has various daily tasks and multiple responsibilities, therefore you must be a positive, enthusiastic and confident professional who is passionate to learn all aspects of this role.
Responsibilities:
· Point of contact for all customer Sales enquiries
· Handle clerical tasks such as managing schedules, producing paperwork and maintaining communication between departments
· Producing quotes for products as well as re-pricing for all parts / kits
· Creation of all sales product codes and sales orders on Sage 50
· Creating and managing production schedules that meet customer demand and deadlines and ensuring all departments are aligned with the production timeline
· Use of Laser Cutting software Bysoft
· Creating drawing & production packs
· Producing sales confirmations and deliver notes
· Arranging transportation / logistics
· Solidworks – 2D drawings
· Respond to any production-related and raise any supplier quality issues
· Coordinate with suppliers to get raw materials and components on time
· Collect quotes from suppliers
· Place orders with suppliers
· Keep tabs on stock inventory and place orders for optimal stocks
· Implement safety regulations and company policies
Location & commitments:
· Permanent full time role based at our workshop in Balmaclellan. Monday – Friday (40 hours per week 8 – 4.30pm)
· Overtime may be required at short notice with occasional weekend work
Candidate requirements:
· Great communication skills (Both in writing and verbally)
· Strong organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks and coordinating various aspects of production
· Familiarity with production process and tools can be beneficial within the manufacturing / engineering industry
· Computer administrative experience using programmes such as word, excel etc…
· Previous use of Bysoft Programme – although full training will be given to the right candidate
· Experience using Sage 50 Accounts
· Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
· Ability to manage stress and work under pressure
· Able to work on your own and as part of a team
· Driving License – Due to location
