Manufacturing Technician, Glasgow
Monday–Thursday, 37 hours per week
201 days holiday + Company Day + Benefits
What You'll Do
* Perform complex manufacturing tasks adhering to quality standards, following all documentation and company processes.
* Conduct product assessments, identify faults or non‑compliances, and take part in root cause analysis.
* Manage and record build configurations using tools like IBS/Oracle and Palma.
* Support continuous improvement projects that keep Thales at the forefront of technology.
* Work with electrical, mechanical, and optical components; test and align opto‑mechanical systems, and diagnose electronic systems to component level.
What You Bring
* Experience in an industrial or engineering environment.
* Ability to assemble, align, and test complex systems to the highest standards.
* Strong time management, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* A desire to innovate and continuously improve processes.
* Basic PC skills and the ability to manage technical systems.

Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the work we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years. Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
